    SMALL CONFINED FIRES
  • Permit NOT Required
  • ONLY allowed if no Fire Ban is in effect
  • Max 0.5m height or width
  • ONLY allowed from 6am to Midnight
  • 5m from buildings
  • 5m from property lines
  • 3m from any combustibles
  • Must prevent sparks & cinders
  • Continuous Supervision
  • Sufficient Water onsite
  • Completely extinguished before leaving!
    CLASS B OPEN BURNING - PERMIT REQUIRED (FREE)
  • Online Permit Application
  • Printable Permit Application (PDF)
  • For thinning and pruning vegetation (FireSmart)
  • ONLY stumps, trunks, branches, and prunings that have been dried for 180 days
  • No compostable or recyclables (no leaves/weeds/needles/etc)
  • NO OTHER MATERIALS ALLOWED!
  • NO material allowed from offsite
  • Venting Index must be Good
  • ONLY allowed if no Fire Ban is in effect
  • Minimum parcel 2.47 acres
  • Piles must be under 2m in height
  • Piles must be under 3m in diameter
